Clopton Nursery Trust Holiday and Wraparound Care

Clopton Nursery trust (on our site) provides “wraparound care” for children attending Thomas Jolyffe Primary School, and a holiday club during school breaks for children between 3 and 11 years.

Breakfast club starts at 8am and ends at 8:55am. The children are given a healthy breakfast and an environment where they can enjoy themselves before the school day.  The after school club runs from 3:30pm to 6pm. The children are given the chance to relax after school and/or take part in activities and games.

Holiday Club enables working parents to avoid having to take time off during school holidays. This includes, Easter, Summer, part of the Christmas holiday and also Half-Term holidays.  A wide variety of activities are organised for the children during each holiday giving them opportunity to have fun and also learn along the way.  http://cloptonnursery.org.uk

We have also set up a new set of Club Rules which all children agree to follow.

Rules for Clubs at Thomas Jolyffe:

  • All clubs can be signed up to via letters at the beginning of the term or by signing up on a clipboard with the teacher on duty each morning that week.
  • Children will sign a commitment that says they will attend each week and if they cannot attend they will let the teacher know as soon as possible.
  • In the unlikely event that a teacher has to cancel a club they will inform you with a note. However, if it is on the day of the club you will be contacted by the office to collect your child at the end of the day.
  • Each teacher will keep a register each week to ensure the safety of all children and staff.
  • It will be made clear to parents/carers where to meet their child at the end of their club.
  • Parents/Carers will arrive on time to meet their child or will call the office if they are held up.
  • Children will be the 'best that they can be' at all times.
